Aerials in all forms to me has always been a visual art. The body itself becomes the canvas, there is nothing so captivating as watching the transformation in shape, as the body dances without dancing. There is no comparison when expressing the beauty of the human form, and what it is capable of. Almost like the renaissance of workouts. Here every challenge is met, for you must over come your fears of balance, height and the ability to breath inverted and lose yourself in drops.

Stemming from childhood we have all be captivated by the circus and street performers, the ability to stand on our arms or curl like a snake, such marvelous potential the human body holds, such artful anatomy, it is so easy to become completely addicted, and once you realize that you can do it too, there is no turning back.

My first love is silks, aerial silks is like walking in the sky, graceful, confident and mastering the process of becoming one with your apparatus. The ability to memorize sequences, stretch my body into artful shapes, it is a complete challenge and a completely physical and mental workout.

The benefits are endless, simply starting with the ability of enhancing your mental focus and awareness in your daily life, followed by respecting and appreciating your body. And lastly by truly admiring your own self, for everything that you have become and are becoming, for the joy of growth and comrade ties, for the constant learning and challenges, for the appreciation of patience, simply put for the magic.

I have been doing aerials for several years now and have loved the journey, every day is an inspiration, and after all these years I can say that I have finally found my feet.

If there is magic in this world, aerials holds the heart of it.
